Two arrested with fake $1,000 notes in Minna

The Niger State Police Command has arrested two suspects for possession of suspected fake United States currency totalling $1,000 in Minna.  Spokesperson for the command, SP Wasiu Abiodun, who disclosed this in a statement said the suspects, Abba Ibrahim and Abdulazeez Muhammad, were arrested by surveillance patrol team. According to the PPRO, the suspects claimed they found a wallet containing the ten pieces of 100 dollar notes on the ground in Paiko. "On 22nd June 2026 at about 8pm, Police surveillance patrol team attached to T/Wada Div while on routine patrol around David Mark roundabout, arrested two persons, namely;-Abba Ibrahim 25yrs of Angwan-Sarki, Minna-Abdulazeez Muhammad 20yrs ...
