Two PDP chairmen defect to APC in Gombe ahead of 2027 elections

Two Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, chairmen in Gombe State have defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, ahead of the 2027 general elections. The defectors are Alhaji Idris Abubakar Yayayi, former PDP chairman in Kwami Local Government Area, and Alhaji Yusuf Isa Jigawa, who chaired the party in Nafada Local Government Area. Both men announced their departure from the PDP after separate meetings with Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya at the Government House in Gombe.
