ABUJA — The Universal Basic Education Commission, UBEC, has renovated 287 schools and more than 4,000 classrooms nationwide as part of efforts to improve basic education infrastructure across the country.
The commission also disclosed that it had established more than 2,000 digital learning centres nationwide, with interventions now extending beyond classroom rehabilitation to water, sanitation, electricity, security and learning facilities.
Executive Secretary of UBEC, Dr Aisha Garba, disclosed this on Wednesday in Abuja while commissioning renovated classroom blocks and other facilities at Nyanya-Hausawa Basic and Secondary School.
