UK reaffirms commitment to deepen defence, security partnership with Nigeria

The United Kingdom has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening its longstanding defence and security partnership with Nigeria, with renewed focus on military cooperation, professional military education, institutional capacity building and enhanced operational effectiveness.
Director of Defence Information, Major General Samaila Uba said the commitment was reiterated when the recently appointed British High Commissioner to Nigeria, Mr. Pete Vowles, paid a courtesy visit to the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General OO Oluyede, at the Defence Headquarters, Abuja.
