UNICEF distributes hygiene kits to 200 Borno health facilities

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has distributed hygiene equipment and kits to 200 health facilities in Borno State to prevent infection and promote good sanitation.
UNICEF Chief of Maiduguri Field Office, Mr Francis Butichi made this known in Maiduguri yesterday at the handing over of the Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Facility Improvement Tools (WASHFIT) to the health facilities through the Borno State government.
Butichi explained that the 200 beneficiary health facilities of WASHFIT are across the 27 local government areas of the state to improve quality, safety and sustainable healthcare in the state.
