UNICEF, EU launch return 80,000 out-of-school kids to classroom in Jigawa

Concerned about the increasing rates of out-of-school children mostly in the Northern part of the country, the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), in partnership with the European Union (EU) and the Jigawa State Government, has initiated a campaign programme aimed at addressing the situation
The programme, tagged Accelerated Basic Education Programme (ABEP) is being funded under the European Union’s Education and Youth Empowerment Programme in Northern Nigeria (EYEPINN), and implemented through 135 learning centres across 10 local councils is aimed at providing learning opportunities for out-of-school children and adolescents across the state. ...
