United States President Donald Trump has alleged that the newly renovated Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool in Washington, D.C., was targeted by acts of vandalism.
 
The claims followed the recent completion of a $14 million restoration project, which included structural updates and an “American Flag Blue” paint finish. The site reopened to the public on June 6, 2026.
 
Writing on his social media platform, Truth Social, on Friday, President Trump stated that individuals had damaged the surrounding lawn and the newly installed interior surface of the pool. He added that federal law enforcement authorities are actively investigating the incident.
