Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has urged President Bola Tinubu to use what he described as his remaining eight months in office to take urgent measures to ease the economic hardship facing Nigerians.
Atiku made the call in a press conference on Friday, while arguing that the success of economic reforms should ultimately be measured by their impact on the lives of ordinary citizens.
“Reform must ultimately be judged by what it does to the lives of the people. It should expand production, create opportunity and improve living standards. It cannot become an endless explanation for hardship,” he said.
