The vice-chancellor of the Federal University of Lafia (FULAFIA), Prof. Mohammed Isa Kida, has urged the media to partner with the institution to tackle rising security threats, cultism, drug abuse and the infiltration of campuses by criminal elements.
Kida made the call yesterday in Lafia during a media engagement on the state of security in the university.
He said the security situation had become a major concern, with a noticeable drop in student enrolment linked to safety fears. He added that drug dealers were infiltrating the school environment to peddle illicit substances, a development the management had reported to the minister of education, who promptly responded.
