VDM: Police investigate AIG over alleged corruption

The Police Force Headquarters in Abuja on Tuesday said it is investigating the Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG) in charge of Zone 2 Command, Moshood Jimoh, over allegations raised by Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM).
Force Public Relations Officer Ani Iniedu, who disclosed this, said the AIG had been invited for questioning as part of an internal administrative review, while the criminal matter linked to the allegations is before a court.
He, however, maintained that the police would not litigate the matter in the media or allow public campaigns to influence the judicial process.
