Viral video: Lagos police launch probe over physical assault of youth in Ikorodu

The Lagos State Police Command has launched an investigation to identify officers seen physically assaulting a young man in Ikorodu, following a viral video on social media.
The command announced the probe in an X post on Wednesday.
The incident was said to have occurred in Odogunyan, Ikorodu area of the state.
Amateur footage circulating on X showed a team of policemen physically assaulting the young man and attempting to bundle him into a waiting van.
The victim, who protested his innocence, said the policemen accosted him without any valid reason while he was walking along the road.
