Vote Based On Performance, Not Religion — Daurawa

Prominent Islamic scholar, Sheikh Aminu Ibrahim Daurawa, has urged Nigerians to vote based on the performance and competence of political candidates rather than their religious identity in the 2027 general elections.
Daurawa made the call during an interview with DW Hausa.
The scholar said the focus of voters should be on candidates’ ability to deliver good governance and their track records in public service.
“It shouldn’t be about religion but who is going to work, what is the person capable of doing, and what has he done?” he said.
