‘We cannot keep quiet’, Methodist Church speaks on Nigeria’s worsening crises

The Prelate of Methodist Church Nigeria, His Eminence, Dr Oliver Ali Aba, JP, has declared that the church will not abandon its prophetic responsibility to speak truth to government, even when such interventions provoke reactions from those in authority.
Dr Aba made the declaration on Monday during a press briefing at Methodist Church Nigeria, Cathedral of Light, Agodi Gate, Ibadan, following the conclusion of the church’s 50th/15th Biennial Conference.
The conference, held in the Archdiocese of Ibadan from August 2 to 9, adopted the theme, “I Will Fight for You” from Exodus 14:14.
