We’ re ready for Commonwealth Games in Glasgow – NSC DG

The Director General of the National Sports Commission, NSC, Hon Bukola Olopade, says ‘Team Nigeria’ is ready to do the country proud at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland, as the countdown to the games draws increasingly close.
The DG while speaking on the level of preparedness for Team Nigeria for the Games, said a lot of hard-work has been put in place to ensure this year’s Games is Nigeria’s best ever outing in the history of the Games.
He emphasized that the NSC is very intentional about using the Commonwealth games to set new standards for the country’s participation in future international multi-sports competitions both in podium performance and athletes welfare. ...
