President Bola Tinubu has said Nigeria’s admission into the World Energy Council (WEC) will help strengthen the country’s ongoing energy reforms and give it a stronger voice in global energy policy.
In a statement issued by his special adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President described Nigeria’s entry as the newest National Member Committee of WEC as a significant milestone, noting that it reflects confidence in the country’s energy sector reforms and its leadership role in Africa.
Tinubu said Nigeria’s membership of the over 100-country network positions it to play a more active part in shaping global discussions on energy security, equity and sustainability. ...
