We’re ready for 2027 elections – IGP Disu

The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, has assured Nigerians that the Nigeria Police Force is fully prepared to provide security for the 2027 general elections even if it were to commence tomorrow.
Disu gave the assurance on Tuesday during a meeting with the Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General for West Africa and the Sahel, Dr Leonardo Santos Simão, at the Force Headquarters in Abuja.
According to him, the force had intensified the training and retraining of officers to strengthen their capacity to manage election-related security challenges and ensure professionalism throughout the electoral process.
