The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has ordered free medical treatment for victims of a three-storey building that collapsed behind Gudu Market in Abuja on Saturday, a disaster that left five people dead and injured at least 11 others.
Mandate Secretary of the FCT Health Services and Environment Secretariat, Adedolapo Fasawe, who visited the scene, said emergency responders were continuing search-and-rescue efforts to reach more people believed to be trapped under the rubble.
