Former Flying Eagles head John Obuh has criticised the Tunisian Football Federation for sacking Carthage Eagles head coach Sabri Lamouchi.
Lamouchi was fired on Monday by the Football Federation following the Carthage Eagles’ 5-1 loss to Sweden in their opening fixture of the ongoing FIFA World Cup 2026.
The 57-year-old managed the former African champions for just four games, with the team recording one draw, and three defeats.
He has been replaced by former Zambia and Côte d’Ivoire head coach Hervé Renard.
Obuh insisted that dismissing a coach in the middle of a tournament was the wrong decision.
