World Cup 2026: Tuchel’s England contract includes performance clause — FA

England manager Thomas Tuchel has a performance clause in his contract despite recently signing a new deal that will keep him in charge until Euro 2028, the Football Association has confirmed.
FA chief executive Mark Bullingham disclosed the details while defending the decision to extend Tuchel’s contract before the outcome of the 2026 FIFA World Cup is known.
According to BBC Sport, Bullingham said performance-related conditions are included in all FA contracts but declined to reveal the specific terms in Tuchel’s agreement.
“There’s performance clauses in every single contract at the FA, but I’m not going into any detail of what they are,” Bullingham said. ...
