Ivorian striker, Elye Wahi has been denied visa to enter Canada ahead of his country’s second group game against Germany in Toronto.
The Ivorian Football Federation announced the development, saying the player would not travel with the delegation to Canada for Saturday’s game, but gave no reason.
Wahi was a starter as Cote d’Ivoire defeated Ecuador 1-0 in their first Group E match on Monday.
The 23-year-old player, who is on-loan at Lique 1 side Nice, is under probe in France for spot-fixing having been accused of deliberately getting a yellow card in a league game in March.
