A non-governmental organisation, Living Hope SaveCell Foundation, has called on government at all levels, institutions, employers, schools, healthcare facilities, and communities to create environments where people living with sickle cell disorder can thrive.
The Founder of the NGO, Oluwabusayomi Soretire, made this call on Friday, in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, while speaking with journalists shortly after a walk tagged “Abeokuta Red Umbrella Walk” organised by the NGO as part of activities to commemorate the 2026 World Sickle Cell Day.
