YEDC resumes electricity services in Biu after attack o its facility

The Yola Electricity Distribution Company, YEDC, has announced plans to resume operations in Biu Local Government Council of Borno State following the resolution of issues that led to the suspension of its services after an attack on its office. In a statement issued by the company’s Communications Officer on Wednesday, Blessing Tunoh, YEDC expressed appreciation to the Borno state government for its intervention in resolving the crisis.
The company recalled that on May 4, 2026, hoodlums attacked its office in Biu, vandalising the facility, destroying property and carting away company assets.
