France captain, Kylian Mbappe, has now surpassed Miroslav Klose’s World Cup goalscoring record.
Mbappe scored twice as they thrashed Sweden 3-0 to qualify for the Round of 16.
The 27–year-old’s brace means he now has six goals and two assists at the tournament.
That puts his ahead of Argentina’s Lionel Messi, who has six goals and no assist to his name.
However, both Messi and Mbappe have both broken Klose’s all-time record this World Cup.
