Thevice presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, Rabi’u Kwankwaso, has expressed concern over the ‘infidel’ comment made by an Islamic cleric, Sheikh Sani Jingir.
In a post on his verified Facebook page on Monday, Kwankwaso said at the critical moment in the nation’s history, statements that promote division and disunity must be firmly discouraged.
DAILY POST reports that Jingir, in a video circulating on social media, warned that whoever does not want to accept a Muslim-Muslim ticket should leave Nigeria because the country belongs to Muslims, while also referring to Christians as ‘infidels.’
