Benue has only one SARC as International IDEA seeks to strengthen state’s SGBV response

Worried by the numerous cases of violence in the state, the International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance (International IDEA) has called for stronger collaboration with the Benue State Government to address gaps in the state’s response to Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV).
Juliet Olumuyiwa-Rufai, the GBV Cross-Sector Service Provision and Protection Specialist at International IDEA made the call in Makurdi on Monday during a courtesy visit to the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Welfare, Mrs Theresa Ikwue, in Makurdi.
