Ex-Minister Oyelese Tackles Makinde Over LG Statutory Fund

Former Minister of Power and Steel, Wole Oyelese has challenged governor Seyi Makinde to account for statutory funds due to the state’s 33 local government areas, insisting that his demand for financial accountability from the Federal Government must be matched by transparency within his own administration.

The former minister who is the convener of the Oyo State Grassroots Financial Accountability Initiative, in a statement on Thursday, urged Makinde to address questions surrounding local government finances.
