First Lady calls for stronger global solidarity, local action on humanitarian crises

First Lady of Nigeria Oluremi Tinubu has called for stronger global solidarity and greater empowerment of local communities in addressing humanitarian crises across the world.
The First Lady made the call in a message commemorating the 2026 World Humanitarian Day, marked on Wednesday, with the theme, “Strengthening Global Solidarity and Empowering Local Communities.”
Mrs Tinubu commended humanitarian workers for their courage, dedication, and selfless service in providing hope and relief to people affected by conflicts, disasters, and other emergencies.
