A Lagos-based journalist, Peter Fowoyo, has given Qatar Airways 14 days to recover and return a passenger’s allegedly missing luggage or pay N11.812 million in compensation.
The demand was contained in a letter dated July 25, 2026, written on his behalf by lawyers from Brown & Cooper Solicitors
addressed to the airline on behalf of Mr Peter Omopariola Fowoyo, who alleged that one of his three checked bags went missing after he travelled from Doha, Qatar, to Lagos aboard Flight QR 1407 on June 27, 2026.
The lawyers also stated that Fowoyo checked in three bags bearing tag numbers 0157264140, 0157264141 and 0157264142 before boarding the flight.
