Osun election: Adeleke sweeps 19 LGAs, Oyebamiji wins 11

Governor Ademola Adeleke of the Accord Party has won 19 of the 30 Local Government Areas in Saturday’s Osun governorship election, according to results announced during the ongoing collation.
His closest challenger, All Progressives Congress candidate Bola Oyebamiji, won 11 LGAs, giving Adeleke an early advantage as the Independent National Electoral Commission continues the collation process.
Results from the 30 LGAs showed Adeleke recording strong performances in several areas, including Ede South, Ede North, Osogbo, Ife East, Ife Central, Ife North, Ilesa West, Iwo and Egbedore. Oyebamiji, however, secured victories in Ilesa East, Boripe, Irepodun, Obokun, Atakumosa West, Irewole, ...
