Traditional rulers across the South East have commended the achievements of Igwe Alfred Achebe, the Obi of Onitsha, as he marked 24 years on the throne.
The monarchs, speaking under the aegis of the South East Council of Traditional Rulers, credited Igwe Achebe with strengthening unity among royal fathers in the region and leading efforts to eliminate harmful cultural practices in Igbo land.
Chairman, South East Council of Traditional Rulers, Eze Emmanuel Okeke, who spoke on behalf of the council, said Igwe Achebe’s great attributes can never be matched, emphasising that he has fostered greater collaboration among monarchs in the zone.
