UPDATED: Police launch search after abduction of NECO students in Borno

The Borno State Police Command has deployed security operatives to Lassa community in Askira/Uba Local Government Area following the abduction of an unspecified number of students sitting for the National Examinations Council (NECO) examinations by suspected terrorists.
The attack occurred on Monday morning when the gunmen reportedly invaded the school at about 9 a.m., firing sporadically before abducting several students and women selling food within the school premises.
