International Day of Families: Tinubu wife urges collective action to protect children, strengthen families

Marking the International Day of Families on May 15, 2026, First Lady of Nigeria, Oluremi Tinubu has called on government, the private sector, civil society and communities to collaborate on family-centred policies that reduce inequalities and improve child wellbeing.
In a statement to coincide with this year’s theme: “Families, Inequalities and Child Wellbeing,” the First Lady said the observance highlights the vital role families play in shaping societies and nurturing future generations.
